hahaha... senator thinks XP should accommodate rival software. Doesn't it already?

In a sense, I agree with him - because if I want to use software that's non-Microsft or non-Microsoft supported, I should be able to do so willingly.

On the other hand, it doesn't bother me much, 'cause there are a lot of sh!t programs out there anyways that I wouldn't even think of using. I've been happy with the compatibility of Microsoft's operating systems so far and I don't think my views will change with the release of XP.

Are they pissed because they think these applications won't work in Windows XP? Or are they pissed because XP has similar products built in? Because if its the first one, that senator needs to take a computer class.

trmiv: I think it has to deal with the problems Kodak encountered trying to make XP use thier software and not MS's. MS's basically said "I'm default and it's gonna be a pain to change that". Kinda like what AOL does with other dialers.

I demand Apple include Windows media player with Mac OSX to rival Quick time!

Pff... Who use Kodac imaging software anyway? Hell, I don't even use MS programs for imaging.

Looks like Schumer is taking a break from trying to grab our guns. Just more grandstanding from the left.

Russ, NCNE

Good lord, I finally agree with Russ.😉

no one is forcing him to use windows xp, or microsoft products at all, if its a big enough deal kodak can change their software

I also agree with Russ on this and I usually hang out on the left. 😀
It's sad to see our elected officials show their incompetence so often.
