<< That Athlon comes in handy
November 21st, 2000 6:23 PM - Anand Lal Shimpi
There is no better feeling than getting up early for an 8AM class, making a 15 minute trek across campus, only to realize that class has been canceled. Although I grew up in New Hampshire where we get many days below freezing, the past 10 years of living in North Carolina have spoiled me. I'm finding myself complaining about the cold weather we've had down here over the past few days just as much as the NC natives down here, what's wrong with me?
Luckily I always have at least 3 systems running in the lab, and when I crank up a couple of Athlons the temperature in here becomes very nice indeed, thanks AMD
Fortunately AMD does have some cooler plans for the Athlon which you can read about along with the rest of their 2001 roadmap in my article which is, surprisingly enough, entitled: AMD CPU & Chipset Roadmap - November 2000.
You all will probably hear more from me this week, but just in case I miss you all that are taking an early vacation, I'd like to wish all of our US readers a Happy Thanksgiving. AnandTech will continue to bring you coverage through out Turkey Day, so don't worry about getting your hardware fix this week, we'll be here hard at work as usual. Take care. >>
I never thought of anand as a comedian.
Although, it is quite true.
Eh, whatever, I just thought it was funny.
