Man, not everyday you get a smiler, but this one sure was happy. It just sat there pure relaxed with its mouth open smiling. I opened up the cage and it stayed where it was, did not want to move, even after poking it. Finally after sitting there the whole day (thought it might be nocturnal and come out night time, no luck) I took the garden hose and sprayed some water near it. Doesn't seem to like water, got out of the cage at last, although it was in no rush. After it left it still stood on the patio looking at me smiling lol.

So cute :D

I don't do that stuff, it's my dads operations, he drives them out and releases them in a forest. This weekend he left to the boat, and diden't have time to drive it out, so he told me to let it go.

You should of seen the racoon we had a few days ago, fuckin killer rabid frenzy aggressive, I am confident that if we diden't tie a long rope to open the trap door it would of jumped us and went straight for the neck. It made a growling big rottweiler look like a pussy compared to the noises and gestures it was making.

No pics of the my excellent compatriot, but the thing was a terror. One night we caught a smaller baby my excellent compatriot and the terminator my excellent compatriot came at night to terrorize it. The small one was whining scared for its life, while the big one was rattling the cage trying to fuckin eat it. A few days later we caught terminator my excellent compatriot. Honestly man you would be scared to come close to the cage with the way that one was, not to mention it was foaming at the mouth.

We caught a skunk too before but thankfully it diden't spray. Someone told me it was probably a male and males don't spray with deadly scent, anyone confirm this?

I had a friend that had a raccoon that kept getting in his garbage. My friend (who was a bit of a nut case) set his garbage in a clearing behind his house and then coated his chest with peanut butter so the my excellent compatriot wouldn't smell him. He waited most of the night until the critter came out, and unloaded his shotgun on it. No more problems with his garbage after that.

No, all skunks have the scent.

And possums would be cute, except for that nasty looking tail.

That's kind of sad. Opposums sit still as their defense mechanism... they do so hoping that you won't know they are there. He was probably just terrified. They are definitely night creatures... and they are pretty blind.

Remember, if you're going to feed it sleeping pills and let it drown, be sure to post on AT about it.

Yup I just read up on them on wiki. It was definetely the defense mechanism, but that trance broke the moment I shot some water at it.

I was out hiking when I saw a dead opossum and didn't think much beyond "poor little guy." When I walked by the same spot an hour later he was gone and I had to do a /facepalm for being so stupid.

Ya they freeze up, but I guess they hate water big time.
