It's their "Halo Car" like the Corvette is to GM. But I do agree with you; "why bother?" If you're not going to do it right, or at least be competitive, don't bother. The NSX is nice looking. That's it. It gets it's ass whooped by cars 1/2 it's price.

Agreed on all accounts, but the Corvette is actually a GOOD car. Espically for its price. Best bang for the buck IMO.

COMPLETELY agree.Originally posted by: MichaelD
If Honda stopped screwing around and put a small, 400-horse, 8-cylinder that revved to about 9K rpm (ala Ferrarri) plenty of people would buy a $70K Honda.
Honda has the resources and the know-how; they lack the desire.
I've owned three Hondas in my time...great cars.
Supra can outbrake an NSX and pulled a higher G in the skidpad. Who's trying to be who?Originally posted by: Jigga
The NSX came out in what...1990?? And they've tweaked the engine once in that whole timespan? Wasn't this the first application of variable valve timing and lift control in any production vehicle...and now its standard in every Civic? Face it, the car was revolutionary...fourteen years ago!!! This is the car the Supra wanted to be, and even then it needed twin blowers to even come close.
