My parents/sister are watching that thing on VH1....Mick Jagger(I don't know how to spell his name sorry) came on, my sister said he's not popular, no one likes him, blah blah blah....I asked her if Good Charlotte(her favorite band) will be playing concerts 30 or 40 years from now, or if anyone will even remember they existed....she says yes. Right....cuz their 50 fans now will surely still like them 40 years from now, right?? She's an idiot....I'm not much of a fan of older music, but please...I recognize talent, and if you still have throngs of fans 30 years after the peak of your popularity, you obviously aren't some obscure little band. Ahh yes. During the course of this conversation, which has NOTHING to do with pop music, she brought up the fact that Blink182 has just as many fans as NSync...well...do I really even need to comment on that one?

Siva, I don't know if you actually read what I said, or if you just automatically bash me not matter what it is I say, but if you had that ability that most people gain at the age of 5, ya know, READING, you would see that I said that while I don't like that kind of music, I recognize the talent in the artists. I wouldn't say it's funny so much as it is ironic. Deeko seems to be a decent fellow, but he's about the last person I would expect to defend classic rock. Or maybe it's just that I'm still not over him saying that Steely Dan didn't deserve last year's Grammy. And my sister has his beat 8 ways from Sunday with just one quote, "I hate the Beatles, they suck.". :|

I'm sure it wasn't a bad album...its just that in my opinion the Grammys should go to albums that are more well known...my parents are all into that kind of music and they didn't know that there was a new Steely Dan album.
