Haha, is it wrong of me to suggest a different type of birth control for my gf? :)

I saw some commercial last night, Seasonale..... or something

Cuts them down to 4 periods a year, which i also assume, means only 4 PMS's a year....

Wrong of me or not to suggest the switch to another form of the pill? :D

Sure you want to do that?
*With SEASONALE®, while you get the convenience of having only 4 periods a year, you are also more likely to have spotting and breakthrough bleeding (which varies from slight spotting to a flow much like a regular period) than with a 28-day pill. This is common and should decrease over time.

this looks like a really great pill, and i think it would be worth it. spotting is different in all females, so it could be very rare for her!

I think she would like having less periods too! suggest it definatly!

The convenience of fewer planned menses (4 per year instead of 13 per year) should be weighed against the inconvenience of increased intermenstrual bleeding and/or spotting.

Your logic is a bit flawed. Realize that birth control == hormones, and changing birth control types can lead to an emotional rollercoaster, regardless of how infrequently periods occur.

She was switching anyway, her script just ran out of refills and her insurance has slowly been covering less and less of it. She's basically paying full price now, so she is switching to something else that is covered.

Depro turned my ex-girlfriend into even more of a psycho. She would call me at 3am crying and saying how her 'female junk' hurt. I would be careful with that sh!t. But, she did get bigger boobs and a nicer ass (put on a few pounds).

You can skip periods w/either the pill or the patch...my girlfriend did it but when she finally let a period flow free, it was much longer than normal

Yeah, I used both Depo and Norplant over the years. Both put a stop to the periods. The shots are no big deal. I got some weird painful scars from Norplant (keloids I think they're called) but they didn't bother me for that long.

They only will give IUDs to women that have had children already. One of the IUDs does have hormones, the other doesn't.

Then there's Depo, no period as long as you do it every six month(?).

Or Norplant, five years of sex.
