Hey Guys; Just finished up my Sandy Bridge/GTX 570 build last night (another thread on that later 😀). Anyways... My current thermaltake armor case just isn't cutting it for cable management. I tried my best but it's still a mess. I really want to get a case where the cables can be routed through behind the motherboard, and having outward facing HDD bays would be a big plus as well. The Coolermaster Haf X, and the NZXT Phantom are the 2 which interest me the most. Out of the 2 which would you choose? Or is there some other superior alternative in the same price range I'm not thinking of? Thanks!

The Raven RV02 is a bit more expensive ($180 normal price at newegg) but is on my short list of cases to consider for my next build.

RV02 has better cooling for sure, and it's not quite as gigantic or gaudy as the HAFX, although that's a personal preference thing. The Phantom is nice but I've heard of a few picky things people have had problems with.

I don't really like the sideways motherboard design of the raven, and I prefer the styling of both the HAF and the Phantom over the raven. A good suggestion none the less though thanks!

I have a HAF932/Black and LOVE it!

Great to work in, great fans, quiet...very good cable management!

Wheels on the HAF X are a nice touch too. I occasionally hook up my PC to the HDTV in the living room and lugging around a 50 pound PC is a pita.

Guess you went for the HAF then boomer 😉

Yeah, I did indeed. Nicest case I've ever had. All the room I need and then some. With big hands, it's nice to have a case large enough for me to work on without banging up the meat hooks.😛
Plus, everything stays nice and cool.
Even though the side fan cover gets dusty, (as shown in that HAF thread) the inside stays surprisingly clean.
