Haf X front panel strange glue?

Hello. I just received my new Haf X case and I spotted something strange that I am not seeing anywhere else.

Notice the Esata connector? What is that on it? It looks like some sort of plastic or glue? I touched it and it's just hard.

Notice how these other ones don't have it?

This makes me extremely nervous about plugging this thing in.

PS: Any reason why my USB cables are black and the others are blue?

Mine does not have glue. Cooler Master could have had complaints on the External SATA connector coming loose, so they decided to glue it in place.

Like AdamK47 said, they probably got complaints that it came loose easily and added some hot melt glue to make it semi permanent. Back then USB 3.0 had its standardized color which is blue. Again, this is them rectifying the problem as blue colored cable is difficult to blend in a black case.

Their front panel board has given them quite a bit of trouble, but eSATA shouldn't be one of them. No need to worry about it.

I'd check if the firewire cable is properly insulated and not at risk of being damaged by some random pin - plenty of firewire controllers were burned like that and they supposedly fixed it...
