"Hadji Girl"

Queasy

Link - Maybe P&N because of the supposed controversy around it but I thought it was a damn funny song. The YouTube video is out of synch with the audio. LGF has the best video I've seen so far so click through and scroll down to the video.

I found that song to be funny... and I don't support the war. If people have a right to sing about peace, then people have a right to sing about war.

everyones getting too PC about this sh!t.

Here are the lyrics from Wikipedia:

I was out in the sands of Iraq
And we were under attack
And I, well I didn't know where to go
Then the first thing that I could see
Was everybody's favorite Burger King
So I through open the door and I hit the floor
Then sudden to my surprise
I looked up and I saw her eyes
And I knew it was love at first sight

Then she said,
Derka derka, Mohammad jihad. Sherpa sherpa abaka-la
Hadji girl, I can't understand what you say
Then she said,
Derka derka, Mohammad jihad. Sherpa sherpa abaka-la
Hadji girl, I love you anyway

Then said that she wanted me to see
She wanted me to go meet her family
But I, well I couldn't figure out how to say no
'Cause I don't speak Arabic, so
She took me down an old dirt trail
And she pulled up to a sod shanty
And she threw open the door
And I hit the floor

'Cause her brother and her father shouted,
Derka derka, Mohammad jihad. Sherpa sherpa abaka-la
They pulled out their AK so I could see
And they said,
Derka derka, Mohammad jihad. Sherpa sherpa abaka-la
So I grabbed her little sister
And put her in front of me

As the bullets began to fly
The blood sprayed from between her eyes
And then I laughed maniacally
Then I hid behind the TV
And I locked and loaded my M-16
And I blew those little [expletive] into eternity

And I said,
Derka derka, Mohammad jihad. Sherpa sherpa abaka-la
They shoulda known they were [expletive] with a Marine

LOL! Gotta download the MP3 of that!

GO MARINES!

Now because the media is making such a big deal of this, it will become insanely popular!

But I still don't know what the arabic stuff says....

Jesus.

In all fairness, not everyone has seen Team America. I keep trying to watch it on cable and can't make it through - I am just not a Stone/Parker fan at all. I don't really find this song funny at all either. It doesn't really offend me - I just don't see anything funny about it.

Nothing kills a joke faster than analyzing it but...

Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad = Funny.

The last line/punch line is funny too...especially so to a crowd full of Marines I would imagine.

I thought it was very Adam Sandler-esque.

Watch the video... it's actually a pretty good song... I wouldn't change the station if I heard it on the radio...

LOL this song is about war as much as Born in the USA is a patriotic song.

Stone and Parker are seriously geniuses though. It's unbelievable how much they have been able to do with cardboard cutouts and puppets.

Just because it upsets bitching, whining, pansy lib terrorist sympathizers, I think I'll see about making a bumper sticker for my car and a t-shirt that says something like "Derka, derka, muhammed jihad" - Hadji girl.

All criticisms should be directed here.
