GAH Linux can be so flaky sometimes

For some retarded reason something overwrote my network config on my file server. (why do distros insist on doing stupid stuff like that, like rewriting resolv.conf and stuff?) and long story short I had to reconfigure everything, set DNS, default gateway etc and that involved restarting network... well it never came back, so I had to reboot the server.

Now I keep getting "Stale NFS file handle" whenever I try to access or mount folders from one of my machines. I even tried rebooting the client, no go. Those sames shares are working ok on other machines.

what can I do to get rid of this and mount it properly? Even if I try to unmount and remount, it still gives that error if I try to access it. Tried rebooting too. Several times.

After practically having to reboot my entire server rack several times and mount/unmounting shares and stuff, I manged to get it working.

So freaking flaky. Now here's hoping my file server's network config does not get overwritten again. Freaking annoying.
