Had to have out dog put to sleep.....

My dad just took our dog of 15 years to the vet to have him put to sleep.... I couldn't bare to go as Im too upset. I will my my friend I got him for my 6th B-Day.

:brokenheart:He has been limping around the yard, having trouble walking, falling down. He has been short of breath and haveing trouble breating in general. We thought it was in his best interested so that he didn't have to suffer anymore, and with all his falling we didn't want him to fall down and break a leg or something to that effect. This was one of the hardest decisions ever.:brokenheart:

I know that no one probally cares, I just needed to get it out of my system.....

Thanks, Its really rough, I didn't realize how bad it would be till I saw my dad drive off with him, knowing I wouldn't see him again..... :'(.

We have a lot of pets and it always hurts a lot when we have to face that decision.

Sure its rough, pets are like family. After a bit, I'd recommend getting a new pup like we did, it helped our family alot.

I cried harder than I've ever cried when I had to put my dog to sleep. He just couldn't get up anymore, and it just broke your heart to see it.

I'm sorry for your loss, but you always have to remember the happy life he had with you.

My dog is going towards this road too Her hind legs are weak now and she sometimes loses her balance and stuff. It's going to be real hard.

This is how our dog started out, he went downhill fast from this though.... Sorry to hear about yours.

Yes I have thought about a new dog, but It will take some time. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

My wife's sister called to tell her last week that their childhood pet finally passed away. That chihuahua was 26 years old. :shocked:

Wow, somoene is lucky to have a pet around that long.

My dad said the vet agreeded we where doing the right thing. BUt its sitll tough.
