What is this, I don't even?

I've been getting this error in Chrome since the forums were down a week or so ago. I've been forced to use IE, it's been a complete nightmare! D:

Anyone else getting this? :colbert:

Clear your cookies / force a page reload with shift refresh and see what happens.

This error means exactly what it says. One of the headers you are sending is larger than what the server is set to accept for the particular field. You could capture the data in wireshark and see if anything is abnormally long when you go to forums.anandtech.com. That's why I am thinking it is cookies or something else that may have changed when the forum changed hands / forum upgrade happened. Also, you may have a chrome addon that is trying to send additional data. You could also disable all your extensions in chrome, then try to load the page.

You also might have better luck in the technical forum issues subforum: http://forums.anandtech.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17

Was that an attempted login? Or an attempted post?

According to the URL in the screenshot, it looks like I had attempted to load a thread.

I don't remember if I clicked a page number or tried to load one from my subscriptions. After that, I couldn't get any page to load.

it happened to me when trying to access a thread, then when trying to login to forums.

only force quit FF and reload worked.
