Hmm.. it's all realitive I guess. If your a millionaire what is 90k? It's a drop in the bucket.

Look at the rap stars that buy these $150k sport cars. Guys like 50 cent are worth $20-30 million. What's $150k when you have untold millions.

this is true

also, you are also paying for quality
1) Merc rarely have problems, they are really really good mchines, when they get old they still perform
2)Most devalue only so far then the price tends of level off, so the resale value stays much higher than other types of cars, even with age.

You gotta be shedding me. My boss has a brand new 2005 MB, the POS had problems the 1st week. A load of autobody shops I know tell me MBs and BMWs have the most problems, and expensive problems. What were you smoking?

We havn't had any weird problems with BOTH our MB and BMW ... just normal wear & tear stuff

Maybe 15 years ago that would have been true, but Mercedes and BMWs now have more recalls and reliability issues than any other car brands, due to the insane amount of electronic crap they put in there.

The performance itself isn't worth the money, but god damn... when you sit in one, you definitely know you're in a $90k+ car.

I actually got to pick up my senior prom date in that... guess who got laid that night. 😀

you dont look like a high school student 😛

and i saw that pic when i joined AT, so it must be pretty old

Ok, it's definitely not the S class. I just brought up a few S-class pics and it looks nothing like those cars.

Ok guys I just webt to the Mercedes website and I'm stumped. I would have to call my uncle to find out but my cell phone is out of order.

The pic is a year old, and my prom was 2 years ago. 🙂

And how could you have seen that already? I've posted it maybe once before.

I was visiting my Uncle last week and he wanted to take me for a ride in his Mercedes. Beautiful car, but I had no idea he spent $90k on the damn thing. The windshield wipers come on automatically when it rains and the car has some other nice features, but damn!

Are they worth the money?

My windshield wipers come on automatically when it rains. But then again, more and more cars are getting that feature. One of the weirdest features in mercedes: the arm rest compartment is actually air conditioned. Just on an off chance you're carrying perishables in there 🙂
