Had my first accident today

I got into my first accident today.

I wasn't at fault. I was en route to work sitting in traffic behind a traffic light when traffic slowly started to move forward. I moved forward a few feet and stopped. The girl behind me claimed that she thought traffic was moving faster and hit the gas. She hit me going about 15-20 mph. She was very apologetic and admitted that it was totally her fault. I took down her info (license plate number, address, phone number, insurance information), snapped some pics with my phone, and called the police non-emergency number. The cop showed up and informed us that unless there was a dispute as to how the accident occurred, or if one or both of the vehicles could not be driven away, it was not required to file a police report in the state of Pennsylvania.

I had just washed and cleaned out my car before this all happened... go figure. :( :p

EDIT: The chick that hit me is cute, and as far as I can tell, single. Would it be weird to ask her out? Methinks it would, but I want to poll ATOT anyhow.

I would be pissed if someone did that to me... if only you could control other people on the road. Are you sure she wasn't texting while driving?

Nope. I have a habit of checking my rearview mirror when I'm stopped. I saw her coming up on me real fast... both hands on the wheel. She slammed on the brakes but it was just too late.

She's a woman. They drive like they text all the time.

Oh, and I did get her number. She's about my age, and pretty attractive... and someone I know happens to know her and claims that she's single.

So ATOT, the question is this: Would it be weird to ask her out?

yes it would be inappropriate to date a chick you are suing. also all that neck and back pain is gonna make it hard to enjoy your date.

She must have really slammed you. She knocked the numbers right off your license plate :^D

You don't get anything unless you ask. If you're interested, ask her out. The worst that can happen is she says no. Well, maybe not the worst. The worst thing that could happen is you hook up with her, she gets pregnant, and you find out she's a raging lunatic, with an advanced case of estrogen poisoning :^D
