Had a motherboard go postal on me .....

I need to know if underclocking a cpu is hazardous to its health. I had a K62 500 working on appropriate motherboard till it took a dive. I am now running the processor clocked to a 366 because of limitations of my budget and the only mobo I had available. Will any harm be done???
