Thinking about upgrading the system. Does anyone know any good vid cards that work well with hackintosh/windows machine?

Cheers.

G80 and G92 nVIDIA cards are good 'ol standbys (and what I use in my lower end Hackintoshes).
My main has a 5830 running Mountain Lion right now.

IIRC, everything up through Fermi is well supported on the NVIDIA side, and everything up through Barts on the AMD side. Furthermore my understanding is that while the OS has drivers for Kepler (for GT640M) there are still some issues with those drivers when applied to discrete cards. So my suggestion would be to hang back with one of the older generation cards, which should be easy to get working out of the box.

500 and 600 series Nvidia works without issue.
I'm running a 560ti without issue, and it worked out've the box.

Don't do it. Many problems., driver issues.

Just install Windblows 7 on a SSD and off you go. gl

Constructive post there.

I'd suggest visiting this website - http://www.groths.org, very good flashing tools for GPUs in hacks. My friend is currently running with a 580 with no problems. He has also had no problems with the 560ti or 570. :)
