Forget the EEE PC 1000H and get yourself an MSI Wind - 10" LED screen, full-sized laptop hard drive (2.5" - not those weird 1.8" drives!), upgradable to 802.11n, max 2 gigs of RAM. A single installer disc is already available:

http://forums.msiwind.net/mac-...for-msi-wind-t857.html

Here's the installation video tutorial:

And a video tutorial for upgrading the hardware:

Snag a Dell 1500n off eBay for 802.11n wireless (or an actual Apple Mini PCI-e Wifi card) and grab a 1GB stick of 533 RAM for a total of 2 gigs.

Thanks for the links. I do like the 6 cell battery in the EEE, and I do like the idea about not voiding the warranty when upgrading the RAM in the EEE. But I'm still going back and forth between the two...

Oh, and the fact they are available NOW :)

I think only the 3-cell version of the Wind is available now; iirc the XP version will have the 6-cell, but no Bluetooth and only 512mb RAM (available sometime later this year). Although some dude has already hacked a 9-cell in his Wind, lol...

hey Kaido, if OSX wasn't an issue, which one would you be going for? Wind or 1000h.

I don't have any real need for Leopard, other than its new and I hear good things about it. I don't have any apple software, so it'd just be more a gimmick for me than anything.

I'd do the Wind and stick something like TinyXP on it. It's the best bundle I've seen for a netbook...LED screen, full-sized notebook drive, etc, etc, etc. Plus the price is great! :D
