Hacking Voodoo3-3000 1.07 drivers

I'm currently using the 1.04 v3-3k (win98) drivers because they let me do 1280x1024@100Hz on my desktop.
I really want to move up to the 1.07 drivers to improve performance in Tribes2, but is there any way to hack it up so that it'll let me do 100Hz at that res? It only allows me 85Hz max at any resolution.... What do I need to edit in my registry?

can you really play tribes 2 at that res on a voodoo3?
