Hacking the MSN TV Box (Web TV)

I was given an RCA RM2100 MSN TV box along with the IR keyboard. Is there anything (Now that the service is discontinued) that I can do with this MSN TV box? I have searched the web and there is not a lot of information on these units. Is there any cool hacks for these things?

PS: I know the hardware is old.

I am looking for a free or a very cheap way to hack this device

Thanks

Hah, I remember those! I remember thinking it was so cool to be able to surf the net on your TV...now we have full-blown HTPC's or you can just hookup HDMI from your laptop. Or Chromecast it!

You're right, there's not much readily-available information about hacking these things. I found one thread with some basic specs over on the Linux Hacking forums: (150mhz cpu, 8mb ram, 2mb rom, 4mb flash)

Might be fun to retrofit it with a Raspberry Pi and throw Rasplex on there:
