Hacking Chipotle for more food

Heh, around here all the staff mysteriously changed to white almost overnight about a year ago. It was very odd.

too many spanish speakers around here for them to lose the latin workers. Unless we are talking down town potomac or chevy chase.

Why the hell would you ask for extra rice in a burrito bowl. The author must be tweaking. They are going to be less inclined to give you that extra bit of meat if your bowl is half filled with rice.

Wrong. I always ask for extra rice. They think I am a fatty, and end up getting pretty much double meat too without asking.

Now if you could only hack Chipotle to give it some actual flavor.......

I drown my food at chipotle with this stuff when I eat there.

I've tried doing that "half and half" thing and all I get is an employee who will kick out some meat from their serving spoon/ice cream scoup/whatever so that the proportion was the same as previous...

By the sounds of it, I must have a REALLY stingy chipotle where I go to. I've been to other chipotles and had much better experience.

Chipotle is pretty committed to locally sourced hormone free ingredients. I am happy to pay a little more for that. Cheap mexican food makes me worry more about e coli than value for money...

By paying more for food, you are guaranteed that the employees will remember to wash their hands after using the toilet.

In fact, County Health Department inspectors routinely pass over the more expensive restaurants.

They take one look at the menu and figure, "Hey, at these prices, this restaurant just has to be clean".

within a 2 mile radius of where I live there are over 20 Mexican restaurants....and they all give huge portions.....

Within a 100 mile radius of my house there are at least 50 mexican restaurants and they give portions of varying size.

i love how everyone uses the word hacking for everything.

how to phreak for extra toppings on your pizza when you place a phone order.

Within a 100 mile radius of my house there are probably 50 mexican restaurants, and they all suck.

A guy I know asks for guacamole, and then lettuce on top of his bowls. They usually don't see the guac through the lettuce. I actually accomplished this by accident once, but i don't feel so bad because the guac is the ONLY overpriced thing at the place.

Also, you haters of these chipotle/qdoba type places are fools. I'm glad you have 4000 mexican restaurants within 18 feet of where you live that all give out free food all day. For me, 7 bucks for freshly assembled, clean, non greasy combinations of meat and veggies that doesn't require any wait or waiter service is a great deal.

Yes, jose's tacos down the alley way in the ghetto does offer great tasting authentic food for cheap... but sometimes I just want a damn qdoba gumbo or chipotle bowl.

Yea, Chipotle burritos are tiny, and they are more expensive than many of the independent mexican places ...

They are tasty, but, I always need to order at least 2 of them.

the only thing this thread is missing is someone complaining that chipotle is overpriced.

come on ... i know THAT guy is around, there is always at least 1 of those in the chipotle threads on here.

The hate in this thread is delicious.

No hate from me ... just the facts. The last time I ate at Chipotle I liked the taste of the food. What I did not like was the fact that their roof was leaking and it took all your time to eat while avoiding the fluid dripping from the ceiling (what was up with that?). Also, I felt realy crappy about an hour after eating their burrito. For some reason my blood sugar was fluxuating rapidly. This was last September and I have not been back since. There are too many other options out there to put up with this crap again.

I almost always do a half sofritas + half meat of some sort just cause I like the flavor. Always skip the beans.. rice + fajita veggies all the way. Always a bowl.

What's messed up is when I go with my fiancee. They always always give her less chicken than whatever I'd get from one scoop. I don't know if it is cause she's tiny, but she always has to ask for a little more chicken.
