Than he should reset this Router.

Among other things, the router may not matter depending on what trojan is on the box and if it intiates outgoing connections or uses UPnP to allow incoming ones.

You have a trojan. I would wager some varant of the Sub7. These are removable, go to Trendmicro.com/housecall and scan for virri. Problem solved.

You know this guy might be telling the truth. He has been here far too long to simply start trolling.

Ok first of all, open up a MS-DOS prompt and type without quotes "netstat -a" . THis will show all current connections to your computer. Look for anything strange there, if you are unsure, type in the address, or simply ask us here.

You could also try downloading highjack this and posting your results in the software forum. Im sure Schadenfroh would be happy to help you.

Also run some port tests, that will tell you if your computer is completely vulnerable or if he is "hacking".

To clear something up from earlier, port forwarding and putting ports in the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) IIRC isn't the same thing. When a port is forwarded it is still masked/stealthed. However if it is in the DMZ then it is completely vulnerable.

Or you could just format (do a low level format (ie write zeros to drive) just for the heck of it).

Yeah that is a very good prog for these kinds of situations.
