Someone somehow got into my Yahoo email account, and changed the password to my gmail account. That person however did now change the password of the Yahoo account and I have control of my both my accounts again. I changed both passwords.

The originating IP of the offender was from Canada. This is the second time this has happened from Canada. I'm worried about how my account compromised. I'm using a rooted version of Android OS on my phone with the google account, but the hacker got into my Yahoo account first it seems. He requested my Rapidshare password which has no credit left while he was in my google account.

He deleted the link between my yahoo and gmail account in my yahoo. He added a new email address in it. I have deleted that email but would I be able to track the offender with it? Also, the hacker has changed my secret questions of my Yahoo!. It seems it's no amateur I'm dealing with here. :S

I will now need to change passwords for everything including paypal.

I have the IP address of the offender. Apparently he is from Surrey, British Colombia. It's on the other side of the world.

Confused and worried

update: This is getting weirder and weirder. About 10 days ago, someone requested my rapidshare and hotfile password. I tracked down that IP right now and it appears to come from the same city. WTF!!!

I just recieved 10 spam emails from Pakistani spammers which I never got before. The Canadian server might've just been a proxy. WTH!

I would run a virus check on your home machine. If you're real paranoid, you can do a clean install. Don't use the same password at different sites.
