Hacked Canon firmware?

Does anyone know why the Canon S330 is limited to 30 sec movie clip recordings? And is there any hacked firmware available that lets you record over that limit? Thanks.

Why would they limit record time in firmware

30 sec is most likely the limit of the image buffer
