Hack the Teacher! Get an A!

Alright, today was my first day of Hardware & Operating Systems class. The Instructor cut us all a deal "If you can hack into my home computer, you get an A in this class".

Well I'm looking for an easy A. I want to non-maliciously attack my instructor's computer and pull some proof that I hacked into it. Could someone give me some tips or suggestions on how to do this?

Forget the technology and attack the person.
Work him into running a program for you that will backdoor his computer.

trace traffic on his IP
record sites he normally visits
perform man in the middle attack and run a bot on his machine
you're all done.

Sounds like a setup! Runaway!

Something tells me making an A the old fashioned way will be easier than hacking his computer.

That "easy A" may turn out to be ALOT more work that actually going thru the course.

just take a picture of you and your teacher then post it on collegehumor.

now tell your teacher to check it out saying you have been hacked.

If he has wireless, reguardless of encryption, it'd be as easy as say...some really horney asian chick that no one in that class will ever get. Otherwise, it'll just be easier to go after the school's servers. Of course though, if he's giving you an open invitation to his computer, might as well give me his ip too.

If you know where he lives go do a little war driving. If that doesn't work, send him an email and hope that he answers your email while from home. You can then view the headers of the message to get his IP address. From there it should be relatively simple, especially if he left a port open for you.

He probably has a "HoneyPot" going with a physically encrypted firewall and therefore is sure that you wouldn't be able to hack into his home computer without breaking into his house. 😉

He kinda winked when he gave the assignment and said he'd leave a prot open as well.

Depends on what Port. Otherwise definite HoneyPot.

Heh, I think you guys are taking the wrong approach. Physical security is highest level of security.

Where's he live?

You know how easy it is to get access to someone's house (legally, think social engineering)?

Clone his drive, takes minutes. Come into class with a copy of the HDD.
