While this was not the case for this woman there have been such cases in the past.

To be entirely honest, there are Orthodox societies in Israel that would gladly stone women if they could get away with it.

Give it a generation or two and it'll either get worse or better, but right now, there are some real nutters over there that will try to enforce strange laws (like women walking on the right side of the street and riding in the back of the bus (deja vu, eh?) and i'm saying this as a Jew that adores Israel.

Like with any nation, some things need to be dealt with and especially if we are going to claim higher ground.
