ha, pwnage on steam

I'm concerned with the fact that this happened back in March, and it took them till September (the dates on the post) to do something about it. Possibly this guy hadn't tried to log in for a long time, but who knows.
 
pwned almost as badly as if I had knifed him in the back of the head 😉

Credit card fraud isn't that cut and dry. I am sure they found out in March. Online companies deal alot with fraud. It's not worth sending out teams of lawyers or some brigade to fix anything. I am sure he failed each time he tried buying an account. This is all logged. He didn't post about it til September.
 
I posted this before when it first happened IIRC, although in a different form. It was a news article on halflife2.net that had the guy bitching about cheat protection. He made some comments in the forum about how he's had 2 cdkeys banned for no reason and he hoped that they would fix the problem and admit their mistake. The mod came on and said he had been caught 2 times cheating and 19 times for putting fake credit card info into steam to try to get a new card.

I'll see if I can find it.

I can't find it. I think it was also a similar but not the same event too. Funny still. It was right on the front page 🙂
