I blame it more on lack of sleep and carelessness... been up all night again. I'm glad I didn't post a lengthy summary of the statistics on increasing concentration of wealth here, though it'd have cleared it up.
So, about those details.
There'a chance I might take you up on the suggestion, I've been considering for a while visiting, specifically for getting accurate info directly from the people. Not sure how to get an interview with Chavez yet...

I think one of the problems is, people just aren't used to looking at economnic politics in ters of how wealth should be distributed. They just get signed up for some ideology and who cares who has how much.
It's not about distribution in the sense of directly redistributing wealth dollar by dollar, but tuning the machine so that it's a powerful producer with a balance of economic justice and incentive. That works well.
