We have many, many rabbits in the woods near our place, and my sizable dog loves to chase them. I don't let her catch them because I don't want to clean rabbit fur from her teeth or pull plants and twigs from her coat, but it gets her blood pumping to race a little bit.
So, we're walking outside earlier, and I spot a rabbit near the brushline. My dog spots it and starts creeping carefully. She sprints at it, the rabbit races into the brush...and smacks headlong into the plastic around a young tree (like a black plastic accordion pipe) with a solid *THUNK*. I don't think it knocked itself out, couldn't see with the tall grass, but it had to hurt.
How's he going to explain that bump back at the rabbit den?
