H80 screw tension

OK, so for some reason I just became a little worried about the fact that I used a screw driver to tighten the H80 screws until they bottom out, which is beyond hand tightening. Screw slots were machined into the screw heads, so I figured I was supposed to use them. Is this too tight? I mean, the rig is working but what would you have done?
 
I only hand tighten the screws on my CPU block, probably because I don't want to end up with a cracked and useless acrylic bracket. Probably wouldn't do much harm with yours but it would've been better if Corsair had included springs to balance the pressure on all four corners instead of relying on the screw itself.
