Hi all,

What I thought to be a fairly simple question for my HTPC build:

Do H55-based (or h57-based) motherboards like the Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2H http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3310#
support 2 tv tuners in the pci-e x16 slots with a Clarkdale CPU?

I know there is a hardware limitation preventing multiple graphics cards with Clarkdale cpus and H55 chipsets, and this will not be a problem for a HTPC as the CPU's IGP is more than capable.
...but support for multiple 'other' pci-e cards does not seem to be mentioned anywhere

Thanks in advance!

I don't believe that the IGP is involved in recording. This is done via the tuner and the CPU, and dumped straight to the HD. Graphics power shouldnt matter at all for recording.

Look at two HDhomerun tunders rather than two internals. The two internals create heat, which causes more fans and noise in the system. The HDhomerun is external via ethernet. They work very well for OTA and clearQAM.
