H340 New Hdd No Light And Doesn't Appear In Server Storage

Hi all. I have an h340 which I just did a fresh restore on with no other drives but the 1TB WD Green OS drive. Works great and I'm copying files to it now.

However, I inserted a different 1TB WD Green drive and nothing happens... no light, and it doesn't appear in the Server Storage tab in the console.

Couple of notes:

1. This drive has been in my win 7 desktop for some 6 months or more working great.
2. If I insert a 1.5 TB Seagate Drive it spins up, the light appears and it appear in the Server Storage tab.
3. I took the WD back out and put it back in my desktop - works great! I then erased the partition and reformatted as a single NTFS partition and re-tried in the server-nothing
4. I then took it back out again and put back in the desktop - appears fine. I repartitioned it again but this time didn't format it. Back in the server, still nothing
5. I've tried all 3 open bays with the drive
6. I've rebooted with the drive in and out
7.... can't remember anything else I've tried

Please, any suggestions welcome! I may just give up and put the Seagate in there, but it just seems... weird that the WD is not showing up. Could it be failing in some very weird way that still allows it to work in my desktop?

Yeah, thanks for checking it out though, binky. Real mystery, other drives work fine, and this particular drive is currently working great in my win7 desktop, but I stick it in the whs, no light and it simply doesn't appear in the drive pool. Frustrating!
