"this is in an antec superlanboy with the side window off

the temps i mentioned is when i run at 1.586v (2740Mhz), maybe thats why the temps arent similar to yours

its more comparable to the OP's voltage, who is running at 1.65

thats why i said its impossible and must be a mistake "

Yeah I am running no where near those voltages. I think the OPS 40c is accurate, well as accurate as any of these temp sensors are.

Last night it was 76f Ambient in my house and my rig got up to 42c.

So to do some testing I took off the side panel and pointed a Vornado house fan into my case on high 🙂. To my surprise with all of that air temps didnt drop. So I guess I have some solid cooling.

Mr. Controversial, I'm suprised you can't go over 2.5ghz on 1.6v. I have a 3500+ (which is pretty much the same thing as a 3200+) and I can hit 2.6ghz on under 1.5v. I forgot to look, do you have a Winnie or NC?

Winnie. It's the motherboard. I can boot up in Windows at 2.7GHz, but it's terribly unstable and Prime fails out immediately. In the alpha BIOS, there was only a max of 2.2, so I feel good about this and the fact that I'm running dividers. I'm satisfied with a 500MHz overclock. I do think the mobo sensor is wrong, or backwards. There's one sensor that measures around 40C and one that measures a steady 33C.

good to hear the XP-120 fits in a SuperLanBoy. Bought one off FS/FT w/an Enermax or Evercool or something 120MM fan that should push some decent CFM @ whisper quiet speeds. Can't wait to drop it in the case 🙂

It sounds like your cpu temp reading is tied to the case or mobo temp sensor, not the cpu diode. 32 - 40 sounds much more likely.
