Reuters (Youtube Video)

So this car, runs 80km/h for an hour on 1 liter of water. What kind of water?

-River water
-Rain water
-Sea water
- or even Tea.

The generator inside the car causes electrons from the H2O to power the car. So, if you can run a car from this, why not a house? Why not a town, a city with a larger model of the car engine? Why are we not knocking down the doors of our congressmen and demanding our nations investment in this proof on concept invention? Why the f*&k are we complaining about oil when there is a car driving around somewhere in Japan from H2O?!

This gets less than TWO minutes of coverage on Reuters. Nothing from CNN, MSNBC, FOX, or anywhere else... I'm sorry but WTF.

repost...

1 it's a prototype 2 how long do you think it will take to ramp up production? 3 show me when they have a sedan powered this way that can actually have respectable performance (as in can do 100+ mph, and doesn't take 5 min to get up to 75 mph...)

The description doesn't make sense.

"It takes the hydrogen from the water and uses the electrons released".

I agree with everything but why does a car need to do 100+?

Prototype, ok. So, why not have... oh I don't know, people investing heavily in it? Say, here in the USA? Or nah, lets let them figure it out on their own, so then they can get rich by hoarding the technology to themselves while we do nothing over here in the states but sit back and try to create more Hybrids.

Sounds like it's a self-generating hydrogen car. Great idea, now if only Chevron can figure out how to make Billions of $$$ on the idea...:D

Until the "BIG OIL" companies figure out how to replace the lost revenues, alternative energy vehicles won't go far.

The speculation is that it really is just a metal hydride powered car. It donesn't really "run" on water rather the hydrogen stored in the metal hydride. If that's the case then this is nothing new.

I'm going to agree with you here.

With everyone in our nation dealing with increasing gas prices and politicians claiming that they "care what the people think", its almost impossible to know as to why the government and even private investors are not researching this more in depth. Sure, it is a prototype, but it works! IT ACTUALLY WORKS! With a little more funding and study, this is a technology that could change energy use as we know it.

But, the biggest problem we have is with the oligopoly OPEC.

I think thats the big issue here, they just won't let it happen.. Assholes.
