my next speakers
of course i wont be able to afford them for a while, and the box i make prolly wont be nearly as nice. but they have an awesome response curve

but they are currently a lil bit costly for my blood as soon as i get my summer job and learn the amount i will make i should know when i will purchase them. i figure i will be making $15+ an hour this summer doing heavy machinery work.

and from what i understand, this is a prototype of SOMETHING.

someone tell me if im wrong, but are there a pair of tube amplifiers in the bottom of the first pic? i mean i know its hard to pick out what the individual amps and that are, but are those tube amps on the floor?

what's the point of having that many speakers in the first pic?they all look the same, so isn't that just pust having a ton of different speakers play the same thing? seems kinder pointless

he probably builds them for other people or has more money than he knows what to do with because there is another pic with more speakers, however it has the dudes family in the pic so i didnt want to post it.

those definitely look like tube amps to me.
 
They look like pics from HES or something, Audiogon has great coverage of the rooms. Nothing too special in those speakers, you'll see far more exotic ones in the next building or right down the hall.

i would be. the ones i posted are actually in kit form meaning i have to build the cabinet etc, and the cross over comes just with the parts necessary and the speakers. everything else is up to me.

awesome! I have my first kit coming in, a pair of shielded Dayton BR-1 2-way speakers. Going to pair them with my Dynaco amp. It's been fun restoring it. I'm also making the cables and speaker stands for it, a whole basic hi-fi system. Pretty fun stuff :thumbsup:
