HP/Compaq have a full line of AMD desktop and notebooks, plus the Opteron based servers.

This black friday, Sempr0n and A64 based notebooks and desktops will be 1 of the biggest sellers. Walmart has a $397 Sempr0n notebook, no rebates or AOHell obligation to mail=Hot deal. There is a eMachine desktop Sempr0n for $100 AR too. Looks to be more push on the AMD based systems than Intc for most the B&Ms.

I agree. My local Staples has about 4:1 AMD to Intel machines and I don't find people demanding Intel or asking, "what is AMD, some discount processor anymore." I work there weekends and sell almost exclusively AMD machines. Not because I push them more but because they are offer better value. (Full disclosure: I own a X2 system that, yes, I built myself).
