u are wrong totally wrong.
For example PS exclusive like GOW or uncharted cannot come on PC or MS Xbox why because it is there game and IP and u cannot do anything about it btw both are console with almost same hardware but the difference is only companies.Consumers right for a Company like AMD is kind of a weak statements and this kind of statement are made by mostly begging or weak company so that they safe there faces from failures.

In simple words you say you get what you paid for as simple.

What was that?
There are huge differences between the consoles, while they do share lots of things, they go about it much differently.

If you want to follow your logic, then everything becomes proprietary, and nobody can share anything with anyone.
Do we really want this scourge to plague us with CPUs, then bleed down to monitors, mice, keyboards and everything else?

That would be insane.

This is the reason why we have standards these days. It was the whole reason for DX in the first place since MS & everyone else saw what a horrible mess this was becoming.

The specific issue here is that there is no way for AMD to gain access to the same source code that other GW partners have access to.
Nvidia does not want that to happen, they have contracts up the wazoo to stop any form of sharing anything with AMD.
The developers must code in an alternative path for AMD, and that costs $$$, or, AMD tries to fix it at the driver level, which is much more difficult, and which is why it takes much longer to do it this way.

I guess if you like proprietary things, then you see nothing is wrong, until the shoe is on the other foot, then everyone will scream that it isn't fair.

No, it is clear it is you and [H] who do not understand what GWs is.

Wrong. Various GW's effects such as God Rays have a larger performance hit on AMD hardware. In fact, in The Crew, the developer blocks access to HBAO+ on AMD hardware despite this feature working in FC4.

No one is saying that all gameworks features work on AMD hardware. No one is saying that All gamework features have no impact on AMD vs NV.

It is on a per game basis. And most games have a one or two effects that can be ran on AMD GPUs yet people say the all around great performance on Nvidia cards is because nvidia sabotaged AMD cards with Gameworks. You know exactly the misinformation being spread yet your trying to muddy up waters. just for that sake.

When you name a gamework feature that doesnt work on AMD cards, it only further proves that gameworks is not why AMD GPUs have a poor showing in those titles. Turn off the effect if the performance hit is too much. These are added effects and you dont have to use them. If they add to your experience, turn them on. But turning off all gameworks and you will end up playing the game the developer had planned for the PC. No one forces you to use GameWorks effects.

On a game to game basis, PC gamers get to pick the settings we want to play with.

In that massive wall of text, strangle enough you totally missed my point. So please quit with the distraction.

All you have to do is look at post like the following (which happens to be the next one i will address). Look how warped things have become.

Not only that, AMD has said on the record, developers who sign onboard to GW cannot cooperate with AMD during game development, they are not given access to the early builds to optimize their drivers for. This was also confirmed by several developers themselves.

Signing on to GW by accepting NV's "help" excludes AMD.

It's clear what they are doing with GW is nastier but its within their rights to do so.

What unbiased reviewers should do is place the blame accordingly, either on lazy devs or GW practices.

That is completely false.

You are either making up stuff or have been grossly misinformed.

the fact that AMD doesnt get to see the gameworks source code gets turned into AMD cannot cooperate with developers. AMD is free to work with any developer they choose. Nvidia cannot and does not stop developers from working with AMD. (That would be illegal btw)

And, just so you know. Very few developers get to see the gameworks code themselves. These are added features to the game that nvidia is doing themselves. It is an out of pocket investment to add effects to the games developers are bringing to PC.

It is completely false to claim that AMD cant work with developers on these games. Those added effects are a very very small and not even important to the developer. It is something nvidia wants to add to their games.

People seem to really have things mixed up. please, go and read up on how this stuff really works. Nvidia puts a lot of money and effort making sure their cards perform very well in the games they think is important. The blame gameworks campaign is just cop out.

Please take the time and do real research for yourself to see how things really work. Here is a good place to start, read the quote in the OP.
