From what I've seen, it seems that Radeons tend to age better than their Nvidia counterparts. I would be curious to see how a GTX260/275/280 performs in this game. Maybe they'll match the 4870/4890, but from reviews I see, in general, Radeons seem to perform better than Nvidia parts when past their generation.

Missed my post #33? ^_^

GTX275/280/285 all beat HD4890. Even the GTX260 216 matched it.

There are certain games where GTX200 architecture is much faster the HD4870/90 series.

Black Ops
Starcraft II
Medal of Honor
Borderlands

I know 4870/4890 were also slower in Far Cry 2.

IIRC, 4870/4890 are faster in Splinter Cell Conviction, Civ5. But I wouldn't generalize that 4870/4890 aged better than a GTX275/280. In the modern games, both camps lack DX11 and can't really max out those games either. So they are pretty comparable overall. Of course AMD owners have an extra $100-200 in their pockets by not paying the NV premiums for a GTX260/GTX280 at launch, and the GTX285 premium over the 4890. Those 'savings' might come in handy this fall/end of 2011 for some of those owners when Kepler/HD7000 series are released. So much for 'future-proofing', hehe :awe:
