Hawk or Hawx or whatever, firingsquad did a review on it, and gamespot did not, although it's been previewed there forever...

Btw anyone play the game? Any good?

I played it...very short, beat it in like 4 hours played? I only did single player, and still had fun. I could imagine it would be pretty fun online too..

+1 for "short but fun"

I got it in the mail this afternoon and I've finished it. There was one particular mission that I didn't like much -- I don't really like stealth/sneaking/infiltration or time limits and this mission combined both. For the most part though, it was intense enough to suck you in, but not hard enough to be frustrating (see: GRAW). I think I might be kind of annoyed at the short length if I had paid full price for it instead of getting it off eBay. On the plus side, it looks like there's plenty still to unlock and it'd be interesting to revisit the missions with the newly unlocked planes and weapon loadouts.

On a side note, it was kind of odd how they hired voice actors for Scott Mitchell and General Keating who sounded completely different from the ones in GRAW.

I think I got more time out of it cause I am a noob to fighter games and to joysticks. I played it all the way through on all three levels. The hardest part was the second mission of the easiest level, it took me like 15 tries to beat it while my head and my hand and my equilibrium got onto the same page. But once I got oriented I was able to progress through it pretty well, with each mission being just a little harder than the previous one. Now I can pwn the game on the hardest level, but I got about a week's worth of fun (a few hours a night) out of the game getting there.

Obviously, if you have ever used a joystick before or played fighter games it would be much easier for you, sorta like how I automatically just play Shooter games through on the hardest level, but if you are new to joysticks and fighter games, you might get a good bit more than 4 hours fun out of the game.

edit: Also, after I beat the game on the hardest level I went back and played missions trying to beat all the ground units with my cannon and/or rockets, and beating various missions with different assortments of weapons, which forced me to change-up my strategy and made various missions feel quite different.

Point is, the game was kinda short, but there is a lot to do to stretch out the fun if you get creative, and that is just with single player.
