gym

I am thinking of joining a gym after not doing any real exercise for the last 5-6 years. Is there a big difference if I go join a big nationwide gym instead of going to a small local one? Would I notice a big difference between them in such thing as equipment? Also any of them have month to month or are all of them force you to sign a year contract?

Screw gyms. They are a waste of money. I started working out at the beginning of summer with only a small set of weights and an ab machine. I've gained 9lbs of muscle, more than doubled my bicep size, and have a six pack. Unless you want to be a total buff, don't waste money on a gym. And even then, don't signup until you've at least worked out for 6+ months and have gotten a good base muscle structure. 😉

i was thinking of doing it but was to lazy to do it, do the 24 hours fitness force you to sign a year contract? also if they do can you let say try it for a month before actually signing the contract to see if you like the gym or not?

yea, I goto SJSU, I live 1/2 block from the Engr building..

What part of Cali do you live in? most climbing magazines have gyms locations in the back.

if you're into biking, maybe you can try organizations like Outback Advantures, they do all day, all weekend trips and stuff. but some of those dudes are hardcore, and plus, you don't get to excerise everyday.

hey you know, maybe you can bike to work or something. I don't know, just a thought.

will look in to those outback advantures clubs and will also going to go this week and join the clug. Reason i even started of thinking of joining the club was i need to climb over a small fence but because i am so weak no exercise for a long time that by the time i have climb over the fence i pulled a muscle in my arm and stomach
