I did a salsa dance class a few years back and there was precisely one hot girl in the class. The other 25 or so people were a mix of couples in their 30-50s and not so attractive single girls. This was a class in the early evening in Harvard Sq in Cambridge. So it's definitely not a foolproof plan.

only problem is that only gay guys love dancing so that's why theres 10 women to 1 man in there

I've noticed that. I hate dancing myself, but if I'm at a normal club, the guys that stay on the dance floor the longest are always the gay guys. Seems like the straight guys dance one or two songs max with their girl, then quickly leave the dance floor and get a drink.
