Lets say you're going to dinner with friends and you stink like body odor, but the only other option is to use some deoderant that smells really strongly of lilac.
 
with those two choices i would choose lilac i guess but every once in a while i would flex at everyone to remind them that i am guy
 
You can justify smelling "like a man", but what are you going to say about the lilac?

"I thought I was a bit ripe, so I thought I would try and mask the stench with some of my girlfriends perfume. Do you like the combo stink or just think I am an even bigger wanker than usual?"
 
Nothing wrong with a guy smelling like certain flowers. Many upscale shaving creams smell like lavendar, rose, violet, etc. But you don't want to smell like fruit... that is too feminine.

If I had only those two options, I'd cancel and not attend. Sorry, but smell is important, nothing is worse than being forced to sit in close confines with a badly smelling person. Makes me want to vomit.

why can't you take a shower..?

or get a "fragrance free" antiperspirant/ deodorant..?
 
I am secure in my masculiity so I have no problem borrowing my wifes deodorant when I find out that mine is all used up. Nothing hurts worse than trying to scrape the last tiny bit of deadorant on your pits.
 
If those are your only choices, then you'll either smell like body odor, or like body odor with a hint of lilac. How is putting deodorant on dirty armpits gonna make them smell nice?

I would venture to say that getting your ballsack crushed by a vice would hurt more...

Baby, there is always time to take a "spit bath".. you know where you put a little water and soap under the armpits, and wash the important areas from the sink!

I personally think its worse to smell BO with a hint of flower fragrance on top! Yuk!
