Guys need Video Camera Suggestions ASAP

ok our Sony Video 8 camera is dying and I need a good alternative. I have 3 small kids so I will be taking a lot of video and wanting to easily transfer it to dvd if I can. I guess that means Im looking for a MinDV? I have a MAX of $300 to spend and I really dont want to go that high LOL . Can anyone give me come good affordable suggestions?

The user reviews seem nice on this one and the price looks awesome but I dont know anything about minidv

With a $300 or less budget, there is not much range on what you can get new. Also check Costco/Sam's/BJ's as you can get another $10-25 knocked off the price. Sometimes Best Buy/Fry's/Newegg have open box sales that will kick the price down. MiniDV, being tape, is the way to go. You will need a firewire port in your computer to handle it. Any DV camera will be a notch up on quality because of the lines of resolution above you Video 8mm. If you find a couple cameras that might interest you, you can use Camcorderinfo as a review site for most of your choices.
