My OEM XP 1800+ died after about 5 months of use. I bought this CPU online, so naturally I tried contacting them first. Guess what? They're nowhere to be found!!! :| I just got off the phone with AMD for an RMA. They asked me wether I had a retail or OEM CPU, so naturally I said retail. He then asked me for the serial # on top of the stock HSF, which I don't have. I made him wait for a few minutes while I "searched" for it, then told him that I was using a different HSF due to high temps and couldn't find it. He told me that I could give it to them later, or if I couldn't find it that they'd probably be able to help me out anyway. He then gave me a ticket #, and their fax #. Now I have to fax my proof of purchase with the ticket #, and HSF serial # if possible. I think I can do without the HSF's serial #, but I really need proof of purchase. *slaps self for not keeping records* 🙁

Here's where you come in.. I would be willing to pay somebody for their reciept if needed. If not, you can give it to me out of the kindness of your heart. I wish school wasn't so damned expensive, or else I could just go out and buy a new one. 🙁

I'm begging for your help! I'll do anything! Thanks guys..

That would be fraud. At any rate, you might want to grab a $25 Duron to tide you over.

Step up to the plate and use some integrity, you can order an XP1600+ from NewEgg for $ 55 with free freight. These things are lighting up out of the box without tanpering to overclock at the performance level of the XP2000's and XP2100's.
