I am going out pretty soon with my dad to purchase a laser printer. I think we are headed towards staples B&M. currently we have an epson 640 inkjet (POS BTW, never going with epson ever again) My dad wants something reputable, reliable, good quailty print jobs, and fast PPM printing. Got any ideas? or better yet is there a site where they do laser printer reviews. Also if the color printers are to expensive we might settle for a black and white laser.

Suggest you check out:

PC Magazine on Color Laser Printers

PC World on Color Laser Printers

Beware of PC World's overall rating column. In fact I would suggest that you ignore it all together. It gives weighted values to different characteristics, but you need to evaluate what things are most important to you instead of the reviewer.

Examples:
Cost might be your most important factor, or to hell with cost you want speed, or you don't care about cost or speed but want the highest quality printing, or you want 24 hour a day tech support every day of the week and nothing else matters, or you have to have one that will fit into your briefcase, or ......(you get the idea).

====================================

After you get your printer, would it be all right for a few hundred of us to borrow it from time to time?

LOL.. Thanks for the replies. Well just came back from staples and I saw the HP 4550 color laser. With a whopping price tag of 2 g's!! My dad really needed color so we settled for the hp 990cse inkjet printer. 17ppm black which is quite amazing.
