I recently purchased 512 DDR for my new computer, but when I check to see how much ram I have, it says I only have 480 instead of 512?? Anyone know why this is????

some more info would be nice. what kind of memory? which board? using onboard video? one stick or 2? if 2, trying dual channel?

I read that many people have been having some issues with this board. Let us know how it runs once you get everything setup..

Crucial DDR. I have the K7NCR18g Pro and yes.. I am using onboard video. Only one stick of 512 ram

I actually just purchased an nforce1 for use in my backup system.......I scored an astounding 1200 on 3dmark2001. But it actually looks pretty good. Compared to the 12k 3dmark score i'm getting on my p4 ati 9700, it actually plays CS pretty much the same.

Maybe because you are using that amount for onboard?

Where onboard could I be using it?? You think it could be my video card? I Didnt know this Video card would be stealing me ram!

What my "question"...actually mean was, yes....your onboard video takes 32mb of memory. You can change the amount it takes up in the bios.
