Hasn't worked for decades? We haven't had a decent tax cut since Reagan. Now companies are willing to invest in the U.S. and giving out bonuses. The Trump effect is working and trickle up is the philosophy of a mad man.

Yes it hasn't worked which was a big reason why Trump got elected because he was the only one among Republicans who challenged the right wing mantra about the free market. The only really successful countries are mainly western democracies nearly all of whom have a stronger social safety net compared to the US. The ones who followed right wing policies more closely than the US are Latin American countries, Philippines.

Saying that tax cuts are necessary is a fallacy. Companies always had huge sums of money just waiting to be invested for expansion but they choose to dump it into their own stock or hoard it away overseas to keep it untaxed. Trump's own shining example of Carrier laid off more workers instead saving jobs. Companies couldn't even give proper wages hikes and distributed crumbs in the form of a $1000 bonus after receiving over a trillion in tax cuts.

The less taxes more growth and revenue formula hasn't worked for decades. Countries that have blindly liberalized their economies and followed that formula had the same stagnant growth and widened economic inequality but the crappy right wing websites continue to parrot the same thing. Hell look at what happened recently, even when companies were given Trump tax breaks, they dumped it all on their stocks instead of expanding their business, investing in r&d, employing more people, or simply handing out higher wages.

The advantage that Trump had over his conservative running mates was that he was willing to confront and speak out against the capitalist same-old same-old.
