last night i was playing basketball and went up for a rebound. when i landed, i landed both feet on different people's shoes and BOTH my ankles turned inwards, then my left one also turned out. i heard 3 cracks total.

turns out i broke my left ankle and my right ankle is sprained pretty serverly. so basically i'm stuck in the house for a while :(. they told me not to go to work for atleast 2 weeks, and i'm having surgery on thursday or friday, depending when they can squeeze me in.

i can't really use crutches to go more than 20 feet becuase my "good" ankle is still severely sprained, and i can't put much weight on it yet without being in a lot of pain. so i am literally dragging myself around the house on my ass when I need to go somewhere. atleast right here i am on a rolling chair, but i need to stay put so i can keep my ankles up.

well wish me luck guys. and many left ankle looks like a baseball it is so swollen :(. what a crappy way to start the week.

UPDATE: well I had my surgery last night and they put some pins and a plate in my ankle, and man I am still in pain a lot :(. the majority of the pain though is from the incision, and i hope it goes away in a few days. it feels like a damn knife is poking my outter ankle. i have a splint on over it as well that i cannot remove on my own and will have it on there for 2 weeks until i go to see the doctor again. last night when sleeping i was having MAJOR pains in my heal, like it was clotting up of blood (it started burning and felt like blood was not circulating). that was major pain.

atleast i'm on percuset (sp?) which actually does have some good affect on the pain, and makes me want to sleep.

i just can't wait till all this crap is over :(

Yeah good times.....oh wait, you said "ankles broken and sprained" not "knob polished and waxed"

Ouch man. Sorry to hear that. Play video games, read, nef, and watch TV. Think of it like a vacation with no legs.

Good luck with the surgery.

Good god that sounds aweful. :Q :(

Do you at least have a S/O to pamper you a bit and help you out around the house?
