Hi there, i am new to this, can anyone help me, i was given a rock notebook laptop, it was working fine for a week or so and now it won't work, it just says operating system not found,i can get into the bios by pressing f2, but not sure what...

Go to your service and have you or your tech solve the problem. Looks like a backdoor way to place an ad in the forum. 🙁

. . . "HB Tech is located in the heart of Huntington Beach and provides local residents and businesses with a full range of computing solutions. This includes Desktop/Laptop/Server Repairs, Sales, Networking, Training, Securing, Managing and Troubleshooting. We are your local source for virtually all your computing needs. Stop in to our offices for friendly assistance with your computer or laptop and see our high standard of customer satisfaction. "

Yep, do an advanced search on posts by "HBTech" and they are badly-worded and likely non-existent problems on 11 different "my computer"s.

It could be that HBTech is just incompetent though, and needs our help with every single repair he attempts?

Most small business website links have been allowed for at least the last 6 years, as long as people didn't spam fake posts or nef excessively to promote them.

There are several people with small hosting companies, RossMAN used to have GottaDeal, some people do web design, some have vanity sites, etc.

Lololpolzorl. Even if this is a post that's supposed to be a hidden ad, I'd be sure as hell to stay away from a place like this.

thats kinda what this is though, isnt it?

i cant see how a person that has his own company/website specializing in compute repairs etc would need help from people on here. just doesnt add up

Right, the difference between him and well-behaved forum members is that he's creating fake posts planting questions his service should already be able to answer.

Other people with web links in their sigs just post normally in threads unrelated to their business or related but to answer other people's questions. Use Advanced Search to look up posts by AgaBoogaBoo (Cernax hosting) for examples of a good forum member.
