from Wednesday or Thursday last week (his kid took the order), he says he ordered the bumper, paint, hasn't had time, but was going to paint tomorrow and wants me to stop by so he can see the paint. Korean guy, doesn't seem too greasy, seems straight.

Haven't heard of that before, but haven't done this much before. I'm wondering if he would say this because possibly he bought cheap paint and wants to make sure it'll 'work out', or if he needs to return and not use the worst grade there is.

Metalic or pearl?

How you hold the gun effects the density/orientation of the flake and peal or other additives. If done wrong it can look like a totally different color. he could be wanting to compare.

If someone is going to paint a portion of a car and they don't ask to see the rest of the car to color match, that should be a red flag.

I think he wanted to make sure I was serious, had only put down $20 cause it was all I had on me at the time. He had the paint, opened it, and held it up and was like 'yeah, same color'. :hmm: um yes that's what '8S6' means, WTF were you expecting?

I'd wager it's along the same vein as "measure twice, cut once".
