Needs cliffs.

So, he won the battle but lost the war.

- Man lives in gated community
- HOA outsources parking enforcement to APS (Arizona Parking Solutions)
- Man comes home to find one of his cars booted due to parking tag in wrong place
- Man finds loopholes in laws, puts booted car on dollies and moves it into his garage
- Man tells APS that they can come pick up the boot
- Man does not refuse to pay, APS threatens charges, police are on man's side
- APS goes to HOA, who tell APS they're in the wrong to revoke his parking tag
- APS goes boot-crazy on whole neighborhood
- HOA tells them to back down
- pending litigation from APS to man

I think I got that right, feel free to correct anything I blootered or add anything I forgot.

EDIT 2: Edited cliffs.

I read the original thread cause the OP's link was missing some text near the end, but it seems like its still going on. We'll just have to see if they actually goto court.

Well in this case, the HOA is backing him a little, although I don't know whos responsible for contracting with APS.

Good question, as I assume it was the HOA. The contract appears to be signed by someone named Lori Strange, who is the "Community Manager", whatever that means.

I was wondering when this would make its way over to ATOT. I've been reading it on the Vortex and it took forever to read. 60 pages, a quarter million views, its insane. The thread is locked now as stupid people were making threats to APS via it. So I'm currently awaiting new updates and checking The Car Lounge regularly for a new thread from him.

Kudos to the "Better Nate then Lever" reference too

He didn't. The first pic is just showing where the car will be after he moves it back into the garage.

Good. Fight the HOA with their own rules and the rule of law. Brilliant.

He technically did nothing illegal

and HOA usually suck ass, especially with their stipulation that you agree to whatever retarded rules they decide to put in in the future
